SHIMANO BL-MT501/BR-M6000 DISC BRAKE
The SHIMANO brake kit with its lever (BL-MT501) and its 2-piston brake caliper (BR-M6000).
Equipped with the SERVO-WAVE system, it offers remarkable and reliable performance while maintaining smooth operation. It features a short, two-finger lever that is slim and ergonomic for easy modulation of braking. The master cylinder and dual-piston caliper ensure powerful and reliable braking in all conditions.
Thanks to its I-SPEC clamp, installation is very quick and does not require removing the grips. The J-KIT system allows you to adjust the hose length before attaching it to the master cylinder and/or facilitates internal routing.

BRAKE INSTALLATION
- – Position your brake lever on your handlebars.
- – Mount your caliper onto the disc brake bracket.
- – Remove the black rubber cap from the end of the hose.
- – Remove the end caps located at the end of the brake levers.
- – Slide the black rubber nut cover onto the hose.
- – Do not peel off the small cap located on the end of the hose.
- – Insert the brake hose into the lever nut.
- – While ensuring the hose is properly seated at the bottom of the lever nut, tighten the nut to compress the olive inside the lever. There’s no need to overtighten; the nut’s threads should remain visible, as they will be concealed by the nut cover you previously slid onto the hose.
- – Now you can activate the brake to finalize its installation.
